Skin Care

With the prevalence of outdoor recreations, winter and summer vacations and leisure time outdoors, premature wrinkling is more common now than ever before. Both men and women seek facial plastic surgery to reverse the effects of sun-damaged skin and reveal the youthful appearance underneath.

Laser Skin Resurfacing

Laser skin resurfacing is one of the least invasive ways to treat fine lines and wrinkles, mild acne scars, birthmarks and even certain types of skin cancer. Carbon dioxide (CO2) and erbium lasers are the most commonly used in laser resurfacing to vaporize damaged skin cells and limit risk to patients.

  • CO2 Laser Resurfacing – used to treat wrinkles, scars, birthmarks, enlarged oil glands on the nose (rhinophyma), skin cancer and other conditions. The recovery time may take up to two weeks.
  • Erbium Laser Resurfacing – designed to remove superficial and moderately deep lines and wrinkles on the face, neck, chest or hands. Erbium laser resurfacing may work better for those with darker sink tones. The recovery period lasts approximately one week.
