Botulinum Toxin — Botox New York Injectable

Botulinum toxin type A, often branded as Botox, does wonders for wrinkle prevention. The botulinum toxin injection used is a neuromuscular inhibitor that limits excessive facial muscles often associated with wrinkling. Are there any concerns about treating yourself with this popular solution during the heat of the summer?

First, it’s important to remember that to maximize effectiveness of Botox, patients are advised to remain upright for the first four hours after treatment to prevent the solution from migrating. This process can be exacerbated by prolonged exposure to heat, including that experienced in a sauna, hot tub, tanning bed, or while sunbathing.
