Breast Augmentation Before & After Case 13

This 38 year old woman from Woodbury, New York saw me in my Manhasset, Long Island office location.  She had two pregnancies and was convinced her breasts would get larger after breast feeding. While her main concern was breast size, she also brought in some clothing to better describe her concerns while dressed.

Looking at this patient, although her breast size is small for her height and frame, her natural breasts are very wide.  This is difficult to fully appreciate from the photos, but because of her breast width, the breast size she did have appeared very flattened.

It is important in a case like this to select an implant that accommodates the natural breast width, but doesn't accentuate the sides of the breasts too much.  Adding to the volume on the sides of the breast does help to define her waist better as can be seen in the front photos.  However too much volume to the side could make her look heavier, with breasts appearing further apart centrally- a look we want to avoid.

I selected Mentor 375cc Smooth Moderate-Plus Profile Silicone Gel Implants in this case because they provided the proper size and the appropriate width for this patient. Looking at the side profile photos you can see how the nipples started behind the level of her belly, but after surgery her breasts are more prominent.  This change in proportions gives her a much more flattering figure.  This patient is thrilled and has referred several friends from Long Island.
