Breast Augmentation Before & After Case 11

This 46 year-old mom of three from Greenwich, CT was seen at my Westchester County, New York office in Yonkers.  Her concerns had to do with the changes in her breasts after pregnancy.  She felt her breasts were loose and empty and she no longer had the fullness she had before children.

Looking at the photos you'll notice that, even though there is looseness to her breasts, the nipples are still well positioned above her folds.  Nearly all of her breast volume is low, either behind or beneath the level of the nipples.

This is a patient who would likely get a superior shape with a small breast lift.  I felt that I could give her a shape that was 'good enough' with only breast augmentation.  In this case I felt that the slight improvement of a breast lift would not be worth the increased scars, cost and recovery.

The implants I selected for this case were Mentor Smooth Round High-Profile Saline Implants placed Under the chest muscle.  To centralize the implants I lowered her breast fold slightly and did a suture-fixation 'internal bra' procedure to secure the fold at it's new position.  This surgery was done at my Joint Commission accredited facility in Westchester, New York.

The result attained for this patient gave her exactly what she wanted.  Tighter and fuller breasts with upper breast fullness and minimal scars.  Only some patients are good candidates for this procedure.  This combination of adding volume and fold repositioning allows a great result with only minimal scarring.
