Breast Augmentation - Case #2110
Case 5 of 49
This patient is 5’11″ tall and didn’t want to be larger than a B-cup. Patients like her who are tall and thin frequently feel that their hips are big. She had the typical experience when buying dresses- if the hips fit properly then the chest was too large. The real issue with her proportions is not that her hips are wide, rather that her chest is narrow. Her implants were placed not just to make her breasts larger, but also to make her chest appear slightly wider. The end result is that she feels her breasts are larger and also that her hips are smaller! In the photos, compare her waist before and after her surgery. During a consultation for breast augmentation I typically will discuss not only breast shape and size, but also body proportions.

What this patient has to say about her surgery:
“I saw four doctors before deciding on Dr. Newman. Initially, I was asking for liposuction for my hips and waist because I hated the way certain clothing fit me. Dr. Newman was the only doctor who looked at my body and not just my hips. I know that I’m blessed being tall and thin, and friends of mine can’t understand why it’s hard for me to find clothing that fits properly. Dr. Newman seemed to understand this and the plan he suggested made so much sense. I now feel that my upper body and lower body are in much better proportion- and my surgery had nothing to do with my hips! Thanks Dr. Newman for truly understanding my issue. I now have more confidence and I look great! I only wish I listened to you and went a little larger! This surgery was the best decision I ever made.”
